Startgun: Sprint Training
Startgun: Sprint Training is a track and field training app designed to enhance the performance of athletes. Available on iPhone, this free app developed by Startgun LLC offers two main modes: Start Mode and Workout Mode.
In Start Mode, athletes can experience a race-like practice session with the guided block start training system. The app provides voice commands to help athletes get into the blocks and fire at the sound of the gun. Athletes can also practice their reaction time by selecting a random amount of time between the "Set" command and the Gun. With full control over their workout, athletes can optimize their block start technique.
In Workout Mode, Startgun offers a stopwatch specifically designed for track practice. Athletes can use their Apple Watch to track their workout, tapping the screen to start the watch. The app allows athletes to track their rest time, heart rate, and number of reps through the Rest screen. All the details of each workout, including times, speed, and heart rate, can be recorded and viewed on the Startgun mobile app's Workout Log.
Startgun also integrates with Apple Health, enabling athletes to record heart-rate data and sync their workouts seamlessly. With its user-friendly interface and comprehensive features, Startgun: Sprint Training is a valuable tool for track and field athletes looking to improve their performance.
